In a recent interview with Syco
Christine on December 27th, 2005 we got the following answers from her
regarding the website and her reason for doing certain things, and
answers for things you wanted to know.
Question:
WhY are you still hanging around?
Syco Christine: I am not certain what you mean by that but in
addition to that question I have been asked why all of the other
columnists have come and gone and I am still sticking around. Well Some
of the people who have left writing on the website have done so for
personal reasons or because of trouble with the law. Some have just left
because they weren't needed. But I am sticking around the website,
because this is something I really enjoy doing, and I know the others
liked it too, but I really enjoy working on the website.
Question: Is
it hard to run the website?
Syco Christine: Yes
it is. But I really enjoy all of the challenges and all of the things we
are able to do with the COW site. I am thankful COW asked me to do this
for them.
Question: Is
it hard to talk to the wrestlers?
Syco Christine: I find that it is hard to get a hold of the
wrestlers, but it is not hard to talk to them once we have. There are
some more than others who do not like to talk to us, but that is fine,
we just try to talk to them less often.
Question: How
hard is it to understand Xtreme?
Syco Christine: If you have been coming to the website for a long
time you know that several of the other columnists have had a hard time
understanding him, because of his heavy accent and because of his slur
in talking.. Some people say that he is drunk half of the time, but he
really isn't. I dont find him hard to understand, but that might be
because I am schizophrenic, but I dont think he is hard to understand.
But many of the people here do have a hard time understanding him.
Question: Why
dont you get along with the COWmissioner Political Steve?
Syco Christine: I, personally, dont get along with Political
Steve, because he sees some of what I say as a threat. And he has said
that I write things that are not true. Well I write things he doesnt
want people to know. And that is a threat to him. Basically him and
myself just do not see eye to eye.
Question: Are
there any COW Stars who refuse to talk to you?
Syco Christine: Quite Honestly, Yes. There are a few COW Stars
that refuse to talk to me or anyone on the website for any reason. Then
there are a few who will talk to us, but the problem is they will only
talk via email or phone messages. It is pretty frustrating trying to
talk to someone that way, especially when you are trying to get an
interview.
Question:
Where do you see COW and the website in the future?
Syco Christine: COW has a lot of potential. Many of the COW Stars
have a lot of potential, they all are pretty busy. In the future I dont
know. We will have to see what happens. With the website, I will
continue to plug away trying to think of new ideas, new features and
different things to do with the website. It doesnt always work, when I
start on an idea for the website, but in the end it was worth a shot. I
am sure it would be pretty boring coming to a site that never changes.
Even if the news and stuff is updated. So I try to add a little
something every once in a while to change the site.
Question: Why
did you decide to fight for F-COW and start it in the first place?
Syco Christine: F-COW was started as a joke from some of the
writers. But once I read it I liked how it turned out and decided to
print it. F-COW was printed on the site, because I wanted a way for the
COW Stars to brawl even if there is no house show. So many of the COW
stars had been so busy that there was no time for a House Show, or any
show, and one day a few people got bored and decided to write something
up. And Walla there you have it. Why did I fight for it? Because it is
something good for the website. It gives the wrestlers a chance to see
how they are perceived by the website. It gives us a chance to read
about some action. It is hard work to sit down and write it, so it has a
very sporadic publishing, but if you ask most people it is enjoyable and
fun. It has been said that it portrays some of the Stars in a False
light, that isnt what we are trying to do, and I dont see how people can
think that.
Question: Is
there any COW Star who you particularly like to interview or talk to?
Syco Christine: There are a few COW
Stars who are fun to talk to, and even amusing at times. Let me think, I
like talking to WhYno, he is always good to talk to, unless he has had a
bad day. I like talking to Senor Sexxay, but he seldom likes to
talk to us. Justice is good to talk to, but he has refused a lot of our
requests for comments lately. Its hard, because I like talking to most
of them. It is just that some of them, either dont like giving
interviews or have just been too busy to talk.
There is however one wrestler who just creeps me out....
Question: Who is that?
Syco Christine: Well that I am not going to say, I dont want to
offend him. It is hard not to. If I say his name, I know he will not
talk to us anymore. He has had a rough couple of years. So I will just
leave it at that. The reason he creeps me out is just because the air
about him. He is changing though, and is becoming more of a person that
someone could talk to without feeling uneasy, everyone falls on hard
times sometimes.
Question: What about
the WFC?
Syco Christine: What about WFC?
Question: Well why are they posted all over the website, and why
is it that the website talks about them, but the COW stars are refused
the right to talk to them, or even to see some of the people in charge
with the website?
Syco Christine: Gees man, I have a bunch of things posted all
over the website. WFC is on the website, because I made an agreement
with them. I am not going to go into any more detail than that. They
also have links to here on there....DUH!
Ok, I talk about them because I can. I have no rules on me about that,
and if I did, well I would be getting in trouble. You all remember when
I got fined for every time I said WFC. Well It is my right to say what I
want when I want to say it.
As to why the COW Stars are not allowed to talk to or be near any of the
WFC Stars, you know I dont know what is going on with that. No one will
let me in on that secret. Senor Sexxay has a few friends in WFC, but it
is understood between him and COW that if business is mentioned in any
way he will be fined, and possibly suspended. He has a contract with COW
for many years, as some of the WFC stars have with WFC. Contracts end
and are broken all the time, though I am not saying anything about that
(meaning dont read into it). I am just saying it. WFC is a good
Wrestling group. But they have a feud with COW only in the sense that
Wrestlers migrate. Good Wrestlers migrate. And so, both Wrestling Groups
are trying to prevent that. It has been rumored many times that
Sexxay was going to jump ship. But it isnt going to happen. He has even
said so himself. At least for now he is happy with where he is.
Question: Is there any
writer you would hire back?
Syco Christine: Sure there is. Just because you have left COW,
doesnt mean you dont have the chance to write again. El Vaca Azul
has been in contact with us. And though I dont get along with El Vaca
Azul, that means nothing, there is always the chance El Vaca Azul may
return.
MilkMan, he may return. He is having a lot of personal/medical problems
since it was found out that LilJenn was trying to poison him. Her
reasoning was that he tried to frame her for something that she didnt
do. LilJenn however will not return to the website. I have no problem
with her, and in fact she hired me, but there is no way she will be
allowed to come back as a writer again. But MilkMan is always
welcome to return, whenever he wants. He still in a way has a job here,
he has not been fired nor has he quit, (as weird as it sounds) It is
just with his health problems, and computer at this time he can not be
employed. But any time he wants to write an article he is welcome to,
and we will print it.
Question: What do you
think of the Infamous "Insider"?
Syco Christine: I have nothing bad to say about the
"Insider" yup sure some of what they say contradicts with what
I say, but hey it happens it did with El Vaca Azul too. "The
Insider" has been offered a job here, but has never accepted it nor
refused it. I guess the invite is still out there.
Question: What is your
MOST favorite feature on the website?
Syco Christine: (Laughing) You would have to put in the
"Most" Umm. I like the entire website. It is all a collaborative
thing. But the one thing I like the most....umm, I am not sure. I really
like the Board, where everyone can speak their minds. And I Like the
Wall of Fame. And I like the Year in Review. Well I guess I cant just
choose one....
Question: Does it seem
to you to be a waste of time to work on something and not have it seen?
Syco Christine: I work very hard on the website, sometimes a
little too hard, but it is something I enjoy doing. Every once in a
while it gets a little disheartening to work so hard on the site, and
then like not see anyone post on the board or anything. But people are
busy. And I am happy with how the site looks, and for what it has
become.
No it is never a waste of time. I enjoy it, it is something I will
always enjoy. And I am thankful for the opportunity to do it. When I was
hired here it was a bit weird. There were already things going on,
already people doing whatever, people didnt want to talk to me, but I
did my research and stuff, and (hopefully) proved that I was worth
hiring. People have come around. Some still do not like talking to me,
because I tell it like it is, and refuse to let them tell me what I can
and can not write or print. If they tell me something it is fair game.
Not matter what, unless it is off the record. They know that, but
sometimes slip and say something that they dont want others to know.
Which makes it worth it, especially when the realize what they said and
try to stop mid sentence or whatever....it has already been said.
Sometimes I dont print it, but sometimes I do.
Nothing on the website is a waste of time. If it doesnt work out, and
all the work I put into something doesnt come to be what I am looking
for, I put it aside and think of how to fix it....it sits there until
the time when it can work for what I am wanting.
Question: Is there any
one last thing you would like to say?
Syco Christine: I just want to say Thanks for giving me this
chance to answer these questions and get a few things straight.
Thank you to COW for allowing me to be in charge of their official site,
though problems have arisen in the past between me and them. It has no
bearings on the site itself.
